From a windows computer you can find out your IP address by following one of the following methods:
Click the start button and type “cmd” into the search box. If you are running windows xp you wont have a search box so go to “run” instead.
When you have the cmd window open, type “ipconfig” and press enter.
Your IP address will be displayed, there will possibly be a few displayed depending on the network card/wireless network card configuration of your PC.
Generally on a home desktop computer or laptop this will be similar to “192.168.1.1”
